At the heart of the project: the idea of speed. This is what inspired the circular shape of Terminal 1. The terminal was designed like a beating heart controlling the flow of planes, cars and passengers. Satellites and turning spaces for planes to taxi and park are laid out around the central building. Roads for vehicle traffic encircle the central section in two symmetrical ramps. lnside, walkways surround an open-air courtyard.
