Children and families
For children: From the "Galerie des enfants" (Kids Gallery) to the museum, and from the "Atelier des enfants" (Kids Studio) to the major temporary exhibitions, the Centre Pompidou has devised activities for all ages and tastes!
For parents: At the Centre Pompidou, adults are there to take part in the current activity as go-betweens and players. The participatory dimension of projects encourages the delight of making things and having fun together, sharing a moment of creativity as a family.
For teenagers: The Centre Pompidou has created Studio 13/16, an open space with free programmes dedicated to 13-16 year-olds.
The Galerie des enfants is an exhibition area open to all artistic disciplines where children and their families can develop their outlook on creation through observation and experimentation.
Each year, the Galerie des Enfants presents two new workshop-exhibitions devised by contemporary artists. These are interactive and fun, enabling children to explore the world of the visual artist, architect, dancer, designer, musician or writer concerned, and share his or her approach and creative practices.

The "Atelier des Enfants" (Kids Studio) develops small children’s awareness of art and creation. Children experiment with techniques, handling materials and organising composition layout, thus exploring the inner workings of the artist’s approach. At the Museum, members of the public cast their knowing, inquiring gaze on selected works. Whatever area is explored, each proposal is based on daily experience and a sensorial approach that enriches children’s perception and makes them keen to find out more about today’s creation.
Artistic technique workshops, circuits through the museum with musicians or actors, active tours of the Museum. These activities always include time spent in front of actual works in the Museum or a temporary exhibition.
