Viva (star de Warhol), Jim et Jerr y (acteurs de Hair) vivent ensemble sur une colline de Hollywood. Ils accueillent aussi une cinéaste (Shirley Clarke), qui a bien du mal à s'adapter au « studio-system ». Tous vivent à leur façon l'assassinat de Robert Kennedy à travers ce qu'en montre la télévision.
