Le marcheur ne choisit pas les sentiers pour faire des rencontres. Elles sont rares sur ces chemins que presque personne n'emprunte plus. Si c'était le but de sa marche, il serait parti dans un pays où les chemins sont fréquentés, car utiles à la vie.

The walker does not choose his pathways in the hope of encounters. Off the beaten track such meetings are rare. If encounters were his purpose, he would have chosen a region where pathways are still busy, as they are still useful to the job of living.

Paris, 2007. Nicola Sornaga tourne un long métrage sans argent. L'histoire de Morimoto, un japonais de soixante ans qui ne parle pas français, perdu dans la ville, et qui croise toute la faune du quartier. Sornaga tente de contourner les diffi cultés d'un tournage à petit budget.

Paris, 2007. Nicola Sornaga, an independent filmmaker, is shooting a feature film, with no budget. The story of Morimoto, a sixty-year-old Japanese man who speaks no French, and who meets with all the district's locals. As the shoot progresses, Sornaga tests his ability to survive the hardship of low-budget filming.
