This vertiginous accumulation of letters, which blends humour and a critique of consumer culture, imposes a new reading of reality.
Claude Closky is interested in the visual language of the media and advertising. Since the 1990s, his conceptual work tinted with irony has toyed with the mundane and with repetition. Here, he has assembled photographs of business logos made of one letter only, that he ordered alphabetically. The monumental format of the work draws the viewer into a mass of signs and colours, echoing the saturation of our daily visual environment.
