ln contrast to the titles of Grand's wood sculptures from the 1970s, which highlight the cold relationship of the mechanical actions on the material, his later works in resin are decidedly silent.
Between the two, Toni Grand produced a series of folded metal "packages". But his resin pieces are also packages. Above all, resin implies a covering process. Although it is transparent, everything seen through it is unclear, like the artist's decision to use a fish as a standard and "drown" it in his empirical geometry.
