Chilean architectural office Elemental, headed by Alejandro Aravena, was responsible for this lookout at one of the halts punctuating the pilgrimage route from Ameca to Talpa. The parallepiped of unfinished concrete is slightly angled in the middle, framing different views, at one end over the valley below, at the other towards a ridge where the faithful plant crosses. Taking advantage of the shade and the through breeze, pilgrims may devote themselves to the Virgin, a statue of whom is outlined against the sky, visible through the only zenithal opening in the construction.
