Show / Concert
Cecilia Bengolea and François Chaignaud
altered natives' Say Yes to Another Excess - TWERK
24 - 28 Oct 2012
The event is over
Cecilia Bengolea, François Chaignaud and their dancers put the practice of dance at the very heart of their creative process. They set themselves the challenge of creating confidence in dance, in its expressive, brotherly, poetic, preconscious and discursive powers. Taking clubs as a subject of anthropological research, they explore and experiment with several styles of dance which, beyond their differences of form and spirit, share a certain sense fun. Through diverse routines of repetitions, endurance and transmission, collectively and intuitively they allow their bodies to force their way towards a curious script, illuminated by all-consuming dances and by the music of DJ Elijah of Butterz Records (Grime).
