Tatiana Trouvé is mainly known for her sculptures, but drawing is an essential part of her output and is her way of returning to what she describes as “places of reflection”, which are central to her work. In her recent graphic output, “daytime” works in the “Intranquility” series are distinct from her “night-time” drawings in the “Remanence” series to which this infinitely subtle work belongs: depending on the spectator’s perspective, recognizable shapes and places in domestic architecture are perceptible in a disturbing interplay between inside and outside, appearance and disappearance.
