This living-room suite was commissioned by Wassily and Nina Kandinsky from their friend and colleague, for the living room of their apartment at the Bauhaus School in Dessau.
Fascinated by the formal working drawing of Fauteuil B3 [B3 Armchair] which Marcel Breuer dedicated to him. Wassily Kandinsky wanted furniture that would exalt the circle motif. Breuer used this motif for the seats and table top, which he combined with a structure of rectilinear forms in line with the aesthetics of the De Stijl movement. The very stripped-back white
