Vassily Kandinsky was a teacher at the Bauhaus School when he painted this work which is still shaped by his visual vocabulary based on the point, the line and the plane. A constellation of small geometric shapes gravitates around a dynamic diagonal on a misty background. They all contribute to an impression of weightlessness, balance and lightness emanating from this large ideogram.
