Since he started painting more than forty years ago, Bernard Frize has given himself a protocol in the form of a constraint when creating his works. With these blurred lines made with a spray gun, he pushes his system to the limit, subjecting visitors to troubled vision, even blindness. The geometry of the picture is blurred by optical disruption. As ever in his work, the effects allowed by a highly mastered technique provoke a disorder that opens up to a new way of looking.
