Since he was a student in Romania, Brancusi has been taking photographs to document his sculptures.
ln 1894, Constantin Brancusi entered the Craiova School of Arts and Crafts, where he studied industrial drawing and mathematics. He then passed the competitive exam for the wood sculpture workshop. He was a brilliant student and joined the Bucharest Academy of Fine Arts in 1898, where he received traditional training and won many prizes for his workshop work in the academic categories : 'sculpture based on antiquity'. 'sculpture based on nature' and 'expressive heads'.
