For the city of Guangzhou in China, Kerez designed three museums and a park. The different buildings feature structural variations produced by formal experiments using models. The art museum evokes a giant monolith, while the other two buildings are built within sculptural envelopes with undulating contours. With its organic appearance and rocky texture, the architecture here works as an extension of the landscaped garden.
