Jardinière "PF 35"
vers 1923
This light and sculptural jardiniere is the perfect symbol of Chareau's originality, executed by metalworker Louis Dalbet.
ln 1922, Pierre Chareau encountered Louis Dalbet, the master artisanat the head of a family-owned metalworking company. Chareau found the perfect correlative for his inventiveness in Dalbet's expertise. The metalworker became his constant collaborator, in charge of producing his lighting items and furniture. ln early interior layouts, ail decorative metal elements were executed by Dalbet: curtain rails, partitions, hooks, shelves, sliding wall tables. Here the technique is based on the simplicity of the material, a slim strip of fiat iron.
