As part of Korea Year in France, this evening provides a chance to discover the films of three Korean artists. Im Heung-Soon, winner of the Silver Lion at the 2015 Venice Biennial, presents his intimate documentary work: in Memento (2003), we follow the daily lives of his family and events through images of key moments in his parents' lives. Sung Si (Jeju Symptom and Sign), 2011, characterises the scars of the Jeju uprising in 1948. Haejun Jo, winner of the 2013 Korea Art Prize, focuses on accounts of Korea's collective memory (Scenery of Between, 2013). Sung Hwan Kim creates poetic performances and stagings, as in Temper Clay (2012).
Presented by Christine Macel, with the artist Im Heung-Soon. "Prospectif Cinéma" explores the films of French and international contemporary artists.
