Alix Cléo Roubaud, FIFTEEN MINUTES TO THE RHYTHM OF BREATHING, 1980-81
One sunday, one work
20 Jan 2013
The event is over
Photographer and writer Alix Cléo Roubaud (1952-1983) was interested in the use and theory of images. Her work, both concise and prolific, speaks to these technical experiments and her ongoing search for a new and thoughtful photography. With Quinze minutes la nuit au rythme de la respiration, she tries to grasp the present moment of a breath in an image. Influenced by Wittgenstein’s philosophy, she sought to draw out the meaning of photography and develop her own system.
