How is it possible to develop a piece of sound art when certain films, like those created with the Super-8 camera, are silent or when traditional work carried out in a laboratory or with digital editing supplant the shot and create animation with a particular rhythm? These constraints or these desires even, incite certain film makers to thwart the expectations of a classic linear narrative and instead offer an asynchronous experience, somewhere between image and sound. They thus create films that escape all dogmatic and unequivocal perception of the world in which we live.
