Debate / Meeting
Tom Marioni
15 Feb 2013
The event is over
Since the mid-1960s, American artist Tom Marioni has been conducting research that blurs distinctions among categories. He is a sculptor, performer, designer, writer and curator and in 1970, founded the Museum of Conceptual Art in San Francisco. One second sculpture, 1969, his seminal work, consists of releasing a metal tape measure. His work is built through observation of the real, whose traces he retranscribes in action, seeking to create a relationship between private and public.
