Le poète Benjamin Agusan retourne aux Philippines, dans sa région natale
dévastée par le cyclone Reming. Il affronte le deuil, l’amour et la haine du
pays natal, les retrouvailles avec ceux qui sont restés. Le parcours de
Benjamin croise les entretiens et enquêtes documentaires que le cinéaste mène
auprès des survivants pour mesurer le désastre et en comprendre tous les
aspects.
The poet Benjamin Agusan returns to the Philippines, to his home region
devastated by the hurricane Reming. He faces mourning, love and hate for his
homeland, and reunions with those who stayed. Benjamin’s path criss-crosses the
documentary interviews and inquiries that the filmmaker conducts with the
survivors to gauge the extent of the disaster and understand its multiple
aspects.
