Although the boundaries between institutional spaces and art and film practices were to become increasingly marked during the 1970's, at the end of the 60's, these divisions had not yet become apparent. In fact, many artists worked together in New York, and it was only retrospectively that we divided them up into distinct movements like "structural film" or "conceptual art".
