Vaters Land / Pont de papier

As head camerawoman, Nurith Aviv shot the images in several films by Ruth Beckermann including Paper Bridge. In a journey through the history of her family, the filmmaker narrates the history of the Jews in Central Europe. Starting in Vienna – where her grandmother survived the war and where her mother returned after emigrating to Israel –, this journey takes us through the landscapes of Eastern Europe, witnesses to the persecution and destruction of the Jews.
