How to live what life remains? A diptych that’s part documentary, shot in the biggest flower market in the world , part fiction, about a man with an incurable disease, adapted from Pirandello's The Man with the Flower in his Mouth.
“[…] In Pirandello’s play, a man seeks to escape mortality as he watches the world. He watches obsessively. He watches people at work, gift-wrapping toys, minor occupations, and it’s exactly what we do at the flower market, we watch the world and watch people working in the market. The film is like two mirrors facing each other, with one merely watching, and in the other, acting, deploying texts, being directed. So it’s a radical opposition to what film can achieve and it’s all about linking these two elements, which are completely different, and seeing connections that may exist between them.” Éric Baudelaire, Débordements, 4 May 2022
