In 1897 a radically new type of poem appeared in the review Cosmopolis: Un coup
de dés jamais n’abolira le hasard (A roll of the dice will never abolish
chance) by Stéphane Mallarmé, who died the following year, leaving unfinished
the final publication of this poetic meteor, where, according to the poet, "the
gaps are important" and where the idea of chance seems to be central, starting
with the title. The history of Coup de dés is also that of its various versions
and interpretations.
With Quentin Meillassoux, Alain Badiou, Bertrand Marchal and Thierry Roger.
