During the exhibition devoted to Gérard Garouste in Galerie 2, the Galerie des Enfants is honouring the work of La Source, an association with a social and educational vocation created by the artist 30 years ago, aimed at children and young people in difficulty, as well as their families.

This exhibition has been designed in the spirit of the workshops held at La Source for young people, and focuses on a theme dear to the artist: mythology.
Children will discover strange, fantastical characters and explore a marvellous, ever-changing world. They can paint on a huge wall of magic paper, transform themselves into monsters or heroes thanks to digital devices, or compose a “symphony of nature”, using natural elements such as sponges, bark or sand. In this original exhibition, young explorers can wander through a forest of distorting mirrors that offer infinite opportunities for playing with their reflections: gigantic or twisted, thin or wavy, they can draw their self-portrait based on their image, creating weird postures. Finally, there are new short films to be discovered, produced especially for the exhibition/workshop by artists from La Source, or from the Centre Pompidou collection.
