On a eu la journée bonsoir
Narimane Mari
13 Oct 2022
The event is over
Dying is an adventure, the last one, and we have lived it. But what's wonderful is that we added this film project to it as a future. Michel was involved right up until the end… and I can hear him telling me “there is no end".
A gesture of love, a painter's portrait, a hymn to life, On a eu la journée bonsoir (We had the Day Bonsoir) is all of these at once. "It’s in the sound of an ending that the music of the living is played, of which we are all, wherever we’re present, an invented note." These are Narimane Mari's words to describe the film made in homage to her late companion, painter Michel Haas.
