This work explores the online gaming industry from the critical point of view of copyright, value and ownership.
Jill Magid selected a group of video games developed since the 1980s. She considers the virtual space of these games as a single open field where it would be possible to gather flowers freely. The artist highlights the construction inside games of symbolic and speculative values that are linked to the "real" economy. Once extracted, these ready-made flowers are assembled in digital bouquets and distributed in the most advanced version of the online economy: the NFT ecosystem.
