Sentimentite (Mt Gox Hack)

The Sentimentite project starts out from the reactions produced on social networks by the great events of our world over a decade.

Millions of online reactions -here following the 2014 bankruptcy of the Japanese bitcoin exchange platform Mt. Gox, caused by hacking- were transformed into data by an algorithm. The artist generated a hundred digital rocks whose form transposes this data into virtual volumes. Struck in NFT, these rocks can be moulded in sentimentite, a "digital mineral" she created out of objects that had been used as alternative currencies in the course of history.
