Through a distinctive take on the ruins and other traces of humankind in places devastated by war, photographer Sophie Ristelhueber explores ideas about land and history. Far from traditional photojournalism, this series focuses on roads made impassable, robbed of their purpose: roads without destinations, no longer connections but the expression of the fragmentation of a territory. The series title WB means “West Bank”, the territories on the West Bank of the Jordan.
