Triptyque bleu
2011
After working as a designer, Vincent Beaurin turned his hand to painting. His interest in approaches that make works of art accessible led him to focus on everyday objects and their vocabulary. Since then he has combined artistic, traditional and industrial know-how, considering the idea of use as central to his style. He uses materials such as powder, sand, flakes, flint and polystyrene in two main categories of work: "colour spots" – discs in various forms and shades (like Triptyque bleu) with which the artist has punctuated and ornamented (in the most powerful meaning of the term) walls since 2009 and animal sculptures –chimaeras with legendary or mythological names, mingling symbolism with pure aesthetic delight.
