Bud Anebo
1972
In the 1970s the Prague-based experimental poet, art critic, exhibition curator and artist Karel Miler turned to photographed performance and carried out a number of actions in the open air. Often resulting in photographic series, these were a way of experimenting with the body as language, a vehicle of semantic and poetic exploration, with words or ideas translated into a certain attitude or posture. To reveal the nature of a road or drain cover by means of the body: this was the wager of an artist who sought to articulate the meaning of things without the use of words.
