Matthew Plummer-Fernandez, the British-Colombian artist and designer is fascinated by arti?cial intelligence and its repercussions in our digitised society. For the Digital Natives series, he digitised everyday objects such as vases in order to convert them into 3D digital models. These models were then subjected to algorithms that deformed the appearance of the scanned objects by corrupting their ?les. It is these "damaged" ?les that are printed and produce dysfunctional physical objects that are characterised by their distortion. Made by 3D colour printing, these objects are sealed with a manually applied adhesive skin.
