More than one billion six hundred million people live in zones that are not connected to an electricity grid. The aim of this lamp is to provide access to a reliable, clean, affordable light. Its design is inspired by decorative Ethiopian motifs. Little Sun Gmb, the community-spirited company that designed this object, was founded by artist Olafur Eliasson and engineer Frederik Ottesen in 2012.
