The Fall of a Hair, Part III

The work of Lebanese playwright, actor and visual artist Rabih Mroué examines the social and political realities of the Middle East. In 2012, on the Internet, he discovered videos captured by Syrian oppositionists on their mobile phones just as they were fired on and killed by government soldiers. The artist has reworked these videos to end up with life-size images of those shooting. With the pixels equally enlarged, their figures come to seem yet more spectral.
