This sanctuary by Derek Dellekamp and Rozana Montiel is part of the supporting infrastructure along the route of the pilgrimage in honour of the Virgin of Talpa. Recalling Land Art, it consists of a 40 m circle of reinforced concrete, cast in situ. It floats above the ground at certain points, as if simply set down among the woods. Despite its apparent simplicity, the building of such a structure in this wild landscape, among the trees, was an achievement of a high order.
