Jorinde Voigt graduated in sociology and philosophy before studying the visual arts. The artist claims to belong to the conceptual movement. Her work draws on different media, first and foremost drawing. The carefully drawn intersecting lines are accompanied by almost illegible captions. These drawings are meticulous records of mysterious mental processes in accordance with an algorithm with incomprehensible rules. The series Territorium refers to territories and frontiers which delimit spatial, temporal and dynamic relationships in different energy fields. These drawings attempt to visually translate intangible objects that stir the conscience mind: music, energy and love.
