Absalon’s work essentially concerns the notion of living-space in its anthropological aspect. The video Proposition d’habitation illustrates the use of a series of such spaces designed by the artist for himself. These are six life-size models of compact cells planned with the artist’s own dimensions in mind. He explores these simple geometric spaces covered in white paint or plaster, which have no particular characteristics beyond a minimum habitability.
