Lampe Aerial Light E 23
1981
In his early work designer Ron Arad, who looks with an ironic eye on consumer society, played simultaneously with the use of steel, the idea of the mechanical, and turning objects to other uses than their own. It is in this spirit that in 1982 he created the hi-tech Aerial Light E23, inspired by car aerials and whose title refers to the BMW E23 produced between 1977 and 1987. Set on desk or ceiling, the lamp has an infra-red remote control that allows the lighting to be varied.
