Horizon 31

81 Horizons is a series of 81 minimalist landscapes stored entirely on the blockchain that hosts them.

Each work consists of a unique combination of two coloured rectangles produced by a code written on the associated NFT. ln this project, the real substrate of the work is the blockchain, which stores all of the work's data. However, each token can only contain a small amount of information, forcing artists who wish to create on-chain art to do so using as few resources
as possible. For Rafaël Rozendaal, this constraint is an opportunity to return to the history of geometric abstraction that strongly marked his work.
