Between disassembly and construction, conservation and oxidation, A.C.M.'s sculptures seem to attain an almost living dimension.
Totally absorbed in his work, A.C.M. creates painstakingly assembled sculptures using parts from alarm clocks, transistors, clocks and typewriters. After disassembling the object, the artist coats the parts with a corrosive acid and then reassembles them. This exceptional assemblage of typewriter parts looks like a miniature work of architecture. The labyrinthine structure is composed of multiple levels that are teeming with protruding elements and carefully positioned figures. A.C.M. is a visionary builder whose work gives tangible form to his vision of another world.
