Here, the subject of transmutation is two albums by the great Lebanese singer Fairuz, which were popular successes in Stéphanie Saadé's younger years. ln the history of their distribution, these recordings have been released in all the major media that marked the development of the music industry: vinyl LP records, the magnetic tape of audio cassettes, and compact discs. Fragments of an album in each of these distribution formats were strewn into a cement panel. ln this new kind of terrazzo, it is the memory of sounds that is offered to the viewer today.
