Simone Prouvé adapts traditional weaving techniques to innovative materials, enabling her to create panels that blend transparency, flexibility, brilliance and luminosity with fire-resistance. ln the 1990s she spent more than two years researching stainless-steel fibres before she was ready to make her first panels. Weaves combining natural fibres and industrial materials play with modulations in light. They echo her photographs, which capture the unsuspected wealth
of motif and texture in crevices in walls, abandoned places and in the minute details of vegetation.
