"Tymoshenko escapes by night. lmpressed by the beauty of Kharkiv, she decides to remain here forever." (Shilo Group)
As heir to the Vremya (Time) group's taste for subversion, for more than ten years the Shilo Group has developed a photographic language that combines poetic recourse to staged presentations with powerful political preoccupations. This series is a reference to the imprisonment of Yulia Tymoshenko, the former Ukrainian prime minister, nicknamed the "Queen of the Orange Revolution" (2004-2005). The three artists stage themselves representing Tymoshenko's escape and her nocturnal wanderings in Kharkiv.
