The consultation takes place inside Avicenne Hospital. It is a block that seems to be abandoned at the end of a corridor. A large, dark and run-down room where sick men arrive, their bodies bruised, and their suffering recounts the pain of exile. If they keep on coming back here, it is because they have not lost hope that here they will find the means to stand up straight, to resist their downfall.

Preceded by:
Brave, by Wilmarc Val (France, 2021, 25 min)
The film was presented at the 2021 edition of the CinéBanlieue festival, chosen by the festival team.
When a Haitian voodoo priestess, a Mambo, dies, it is up to the children to celebrate the divinity she served.
"As with La Cinémathèque Idéale des Banlieues du Monde (The Ideal Cinematheque of the Suburbs of the World), the idea of this carte blanche is to help to make that which already exists even more visible, to continue a political action without erasing it. There is a real fellow feeling with CinéBanlieue, we share the same ambition: to produce and nurture a cinema for these territories, to offer a space to filmmakers who are not visible enough, who are insufficiently or not yet identified."
