The event is over
When D. and H. decide to sell the house they love so much in which they have lived for two decades, their respective anxieties come to the surface. Dreams, memories and fear also have left their stamp on this house which played a decisive role in their relationship and now bears the scars of their shared past life.
"While Unrelated and Archipelago are dramas embodied by a troupe of actors wrestling with family dynamics – sibling rivalry, generation gaps – with its elementary triangle (man, woman, house), Exhibition is archetypal and profoundly mysterious. The Red Desert (1964) and Repulsion (1965) seem to be two major stylistic and thematic references in its exploration of female sexuality and domestic space. But Hogg is interested in the interstices between genres and the invention of a meeting ground between conceptual provocation and drama. Exhibition flirts with psychological horror films and satire, without however becoming a foreseeable dismantling of the pretentions of the art world or the egocentric hypocrisy of the elites."
