The event is over
On the occasion of Baudelaire Poetry Day celebrated on 18 September 2021 in fifteen partner sites in France and abroad, the Centre Pompidou invites Frànçois Atlas, leader of the group Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains, to put music to the evocative verse of the melancholic poet.
A solo album was born of this encounter between 19th century poetry and French pop music. Among the texts of the bard of modernity, Frànçois Atlas chose eight poems from the famous collection entitled Les Fleurs du mal: "À une passante", "Parfum exotique" and "L’invitation au voyage". Frànçois returns with his group in 2021 for their seventh album: Banane bleue.
