Performance
Lara Dâmaso
Performance (creation). With Ludwig Abraham
15 - 17 Jun 2023
The event is over
For this new creation the artist collaborates with musician, composer and performer Ludwig Abraham in order to present a piece that combines choreography, voice, breath, musical composition and live electronic guitar.
Performing in the heart of her installation with suspended curtains, the artist considers modulations of movement and breath but also the elongations or tensions running through the body as the foundational axes for this creation. Inspired by classical dance and Tai Chi and Qi Jong exercises, the circular movements focus on the centre of the body and the belly. Presenting a free body, exalting the female power of the erotic, the performance swings between "empowerment" of the body stripped bare and sudden vulnerability.
