The CJC from 1971 to 2011: 40 years as a community! The first "experimental and different" film-makers cooperative founded in France, the Collectif Jeune Cinéma is celebrating its fortieth anniversary by looking back over its achievements, also taking the occasion as the opportunity to reflect on the Collective's future projects. When Marcel Mazé scheduled Notes on the Circus at the Rencontres Internationales in Hyères, never did he imagine that his encounter with Jonas Mekas would be the origin of the Collectif Jeune Cinéma, which he created following the example of the Film Makers' Coopertive in New York.
