Gwenaël Morin : L'intégrale

Les Molière de Vitez

23 Apr 2017

The event is over

In 1978, Antoine Vitez created a tetralogy of 20 acts in Avignon, consisting of four major plays by Molière (L’École des femmes, Tartuffe ou l’Imposteur, Dom Juan ou le Festin de pierre, and Le Misanthrope ou l’Atrabilaire amoureux). Together with a troupe of young actors all from the same year at the Conservatoire Régional de Lyon, Gwenaël Morin set out to discover this tetralogy. Rather than attempting a reconstruction of a reconstruction, it consisted of reinventing the power of a completely new dramatic form for our present times, with the same sobriety, impulse and Utopian aims. Gwenaël Morin became joyously possessed "by the need for doing absolutely anything with the classics – the need to make a break."
