The event is over
At the request of Italian producer Enrico Ghezzi, Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet produced a ciné-tract, Europa 2005 - 27 October: the last film they made together. For the centenary of Roberto Rossellini's birth, they were commissioned to continue the film director's totemic film, Europa 51. The Straubs decided to focus on the deaths of Zyed Benna and Bouna Traoré, two teenagers killed in an electric transformer in Clichy-sous-Bois, when they were being chased by the police. The digital filming and editing, where the principle is repetition, were carried out by Jean-Claude Rousseau.
Presented by Jacques Bontemps.
